FORMATION

Along with spiritual discernment of God’s will, an in-depth study of the teachings of Christ and His Church is a critical part of becoming Catholic. Study will lead you beyond the classroom, enabling you to freely and fully live as part of the Body of Christ.

JESUS CHRIST

The driving force of OCIA is that you may know Jesus Christ, which is the cry of the Savior’s own heart the night before His Passion: “And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent” (JN 17:3).

Do not be afraid.

WHO SHOULD CONTACT US

Maybe you’ve been a Christian your whole life but you’ve started asking questions about the Bible and how to interpret it. Or you wonder about these words of Jesus and why only the Catholic Church takes them literally: “Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no life in you” (Jn 6:53). Maybe you’ve noticed that the Catholic Church has been around for 2,000 years, and is still going strong, and that makes you wonder if it’s all true.

Perhaps you’re thinking, for the very first time, that you should take a look at what those Catholics do. Or maybe the life you’re living isn’t satisfying and you’re looking for something more. Or perhaps you’re not even interested in becoming Catholic but just have questions about God, the universe, or morality.

Perhaps you’re thinking about becoming Catholic. Maybe you’ve always wanted more information about the Catholic Church. Or you’ve been on the fence about entering the Church for a long time, but never took the plunge.

Maybe you’re in a relationship with someone who is Catholic and you’ve become interested in the faith. Maybe your future spouse has asked you to consider becoming Catholic before you get married. Maybe you were raised Catholic but never received all your sacraments, or maybe your children never received all their sacraments when they were little because life got in the way.

Seek His Face. - Psalm 27:8

No matter who you are or where you’re at, we hope you’ll contact us. There’s no pressure or obligation. A phone call or an email won’t sign you up for a program, or commit you to changing your life, or mean that you’ll have to be baptized. We’d really just like to hear from you. We’d like to answer your questions. We’d like to offer you a chance to talk about God the way the Catholic Church understands Him. We just want to have that conversation, with no strings attached. We want you to discover the life for which you were made.
