Hello, my name is Patrick McCormack. I am excited to serve both Notre Dame and Holy Spirit during my Pastoral Year! I was born in East Rockaway, New York, and attended St. Raymond Parish and went to their grade school. I graduated from Holy Trinity Diocesan High School in 2012, where I ran cross country and track. In 2016, I graduated from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, with a degree in Communications. After college, I worked in the field of sports media and communications. I spent seven years at Molloy University, where I was the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications.
I entered the seminary in August of 2022 to study for the priesthood for the Diocese of Rockville Centre. I have just finished my fourth year of formation, and my third year at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers, New York. Each year has been a gift from God. Some of my favorite saints are Pope St. John Paul II, St. Joseph, St. Therese of Lisieux and St. Maximilian Kolbe. I enjoy learning about the Faith and sharing the good news with others. In my free time, I like golfing, going to sporting events, and walking the Long Beach Boardwalk. Please know of my daily prayers for all of you, and I look forward to my time in New Hyde Park and meeting and working with the people of the Notre Dame and Holy Spirit parishes.
